The Story Thus Far
Only in the past ~500 years has the world bared any semblance to the world we know today.
The human experience mostly began to transform during the renaissance period, when the spread of knowledge led to new inventions that allowed for the mass sharing of information.
Ancient texts once long out of reach of but a few people were translated and spread. Literacy increased, changing the ways the average human viewed the world changed as did our collective awareness. Now we are in another period of societal transformation thanks to the internet and modern advances.
Yet only recently has there been such a mass questioning of our modern systems. "Why are we doing what we are doing?"
Creating a Modern Renaissance
Renaissance: A cultural, intellectual, and artistic flourishing, characterized by advancements in various fields such as literature, art, science, philosophy, and technology.
The idea of a modern renaissance comes from the challenges we are facing today with inequalities and environmental issues. We have a choice now with this awareness to heal and improve our modern lifestyle. Where the priority is better relationships, community action, and the regeneration of our ecosystems so that we can bring hope to the children.
In having these conversations with friends the idea arose to host a Socratic circle where everyone could share their questions and we could explore ideas collectively.
This led to the ÓS Creative Renaissance held at ARTUSCO on Jan 21, 2024.

Our goal was to point our friends and community to get involved. (Thank you for your support.)
With our highlighting of influences that can help us in creating a modern renaissance, such as Mindfulness, Self-Inquiry, Art, Nature, Ritual, Community, and the power of Spaces; we hope to break down barriers and build collective mutualism through these community discussions. This event was a great success in connecting fellow collaborators.
We see this as a time of innovation and coming together in new ways, always with intention. (We make agreements on relationships and collaborations, always conscious of the time and energy that they may require.)
We look forward to continuing to hold space for these topics.
This is just the beginning.
Sharing Hope for the Future
We can now learn, share, and spread information unlike ever before.
We can now access information previously inaccessible to most people and express ourselves in novel and creative ways.
This is exciting news! Like all tools- the internet can greatly benefit is and it us up to how we individually use to use it.
